PART 2!!!

Slayers came out from the woods on all sides. She was backed up against her kill, its giant antlers blocking the way of any slayers behind her. Her emerald green eyes flitted around, searching for an opening. Jared snorted. We were trained professionals. She couldn't escape. I pursed my lips grimly. Her eyes flitted around still, and then I suddenly realized she was looking for me. Her eyes finally found mine, and they didn't show any emotion. Her eyes were just... blank. She knew, I realized with horror. She knew everything. She knew that I was coming for her. And she didn't try to run, not very far, at least. She stared at me for a moment, and then closed her eyes. I stared in anguish. She closed her eyes, and raised a foot to step forward. NO!! I my thoughts screamed, opening my mind to her. NO! DON'T DO THIS! FIGHT BACK! Her foot froze. She set it down and opened her eyes, staring upward, towards the moon. Why not? Her cool, crisp voice penetrated my mind walls. I held in my sigh. But the slayers were all preparing themselves, moving closer, waiting for a chance to attack. Please... just... just don't. Fight back. I can't watch you die. I thought softly. Her voice lashed out, furious. THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT EARLIER! BEFORE YOU LEFT ME! Her calm face twisted a moment, but then relaxed with her self control. I'm sorry! Alliana, please, just try to escape! I can cause a distraction... please! Her head snapped forward, her smoldering eyes making me flinch. Why now? WHY NOW?! She demanded, her icy voice frosting over every inch of my mind. I didn't answer. She narrowed her eyes. Disgust dripped from her thoughts, covering up the underlying betrayal and pain. That's what I thought. Now you can just leave me to die in peace. You know it's your fault that they're here. If you would have never told your friends in the first place, they never would have come for me. I would never have been found. But this is quite the situation, isn't it? She stepped forward, before I could react. The crowd surged forward. Slayers attacked from every side, jumping over the carcass. I felt myself yell, but I seemed detached from my body. I heard a cry of pain, but I saw a fellow slayer fall to the side. So this is how it was going to end. I thought grimly. I knew that I was supposed to fear for my family, my team, but all I was fearing was the death of that vampire in the middle of the throng. Yet she seemed to be handling them better than I thought. I dove into the crowd, pushing and elbowing my way to the center. I shoved through the last bit, right in the center of the mass, with her five feet away. She snarled at a slayer next to me, and lunged, but suddenly she had a knife around her throat. Her eyes widened in fear, and she looked at me. I pursed my lips in anguish. It was my father who was holding that knife, the leader of the slayers. The knife was high at her throat, beneath the jaw. She breathed evenly, quivering. My father chuckled darkly. "Now isn't this a predicament." He drawled arrogantly. "There's only one vampire and fifty slayers. How will we divide this up?" Alliana hissed angrily. He kept going with the threats. "We can all toss our knifes at you, one by one, until you slowly die." he offered, sneering. "Or we can cut long slits into you, and let the burning of the slayer knife slowly drag out those few painful moments of your useless life." While he taunted, Alliana was planning. I could tell by the look in her eye. Dad's arrogance had made him loosen up on the knife. When he was offering her one other way of death, she grabbed his wrist, flipping it behind his back, grabbing the knife and pressing it to his throat. "Now, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way." she sneered, chuckling darkly. "You can let me go, and I won't kill him. Or, you can try to attack, and I'll kill him, and escape. Your choice." Trixi's infuriated voice rose above the crowd. "You're lying! There's something else you want, as well!" she snarled. Alliana's eyebrows shot up in amusement. She chuckled again. "You know me so well, little human girl." "Well, what is it, you filthy, rotten creature?!" she snapped. "A sacrifice." Alliana said, shrugging. The movement dragged the knife upward, scratching my father's throat, a trickle of blood dripping down his neck. She tensed. "Better make your choice quick." she grunted, gritting her teeth. "Or he'll be dead, either way. And maybe the rest of you, as well." Trixi glared. "We can't..." murmurs echoed through the crowd. Alliana pursed her lips as the fresh blood pulsed out. Her fangs came out of their sheaths. She looked up at all of us slowly. "Better make your choice. Now." Her voice was low and dangerous. Nobody said a word. She narrowed her eyes. "Obviously, you don't want your leader to die. So, since you have problems with making this decision, I'll decide for you." Her eyes locked on me. "You. Get over here." My feet couldn't move. I'd never been more afraid of Alliana in my life. She narrowed her eyes. "Here. Now." I stumbled as I walked forward. She released the knife from my father's throat, and set it on mine. "Stay here. Or I will come back and kill you all." She snarled, and then she grabbed me and ran. Jared looked at me, horrified. He took a step, but I narrowed my eyes at him. He froze, and then stepped back, a look of fury on his face. We disappeared into the woods. Alliana    grabbed me when we were deep into the forest, and pushed my head to the side, exposing the main artery. She sank her fangs into it, drinking deeply. My vision blurred. My lips couldn't move. And then-- I was out. I could never, ever be with Jared again, to laugh and joke with him. I would never be able to hug my sister again, to see her grow in greatness. But every day, when the night would fall, Alliana and I would always run through the woods together, hunting. Because when Alliana bit me, she sucked out all the humanity that was ever there in my body. Because when my blood mixed with hers, I was a vampire.

OMIGEEZ that was good. I've never written from the slayer's point of view before. It was interesting, but not exactly as good as my first short story. All in all, very good. So me thinks.
