It's Hard

It's hard.

When that person

makes you smile,

makes you laugh.

But they can also

make you cry

make you hate. 

You want to tell

them that they cause

you so much pain

inside, but you 

also want to say

that they are

a blessing in your 

life.

You hate the feeling

that eats you up from

the inside when they

are with someone else.

You want it to go away;

Envy is an ugly thing

and you don't want it

anywhere near you.

You don't want to cause

them grief, and you

don't want them to know

when you feel that pain

in your chest, 

in your stomach.

You want them to 

be happy, 

and that 

is that. 

How can they

make you smile?

Make you happy?

How can they

make you hurt?

Make you cry?

It's hard sometimes.
